Body Scan - a method for researching
the muscle mass in the different segments of the human body

Description

  • This method gives us information about the ratio of muscle mass between:
  • It gives us data about the level of training of the muscle groups
  • It makes possible for us to compare the muscle volume of the different segments
  • On the basis of the results gained, an individual programme for physical exercises is worked out

 Application

  • With the professional sportsmen - without the data from this test all exercises are ineffective, because by a heavier body segment the following is being changed:
    • the centre of weight
    • the individual biomechanic
    • the symmetry between left and right and upper and lower part of the body
  • With people  doing fitness exercises, body shape modelling and body weight reduction
  • After traumas, operations of the locomotory system, continuous immobility - with a high level of precision we can prescribe the dose of the exercises in the beginning of the motor activity
  • Prophylaxis of spinal bendings with children and young people
  • Prophylaxis of diseases of the locomotory system
  • Bodybuilding - an exact assessment of the muscle volume and the way of assymetry correction

Results and analysis

  • Depending on the obtained results we determine:
    • the individual biomechanics
    • a programme for exercises, depending on the training stage - preparatory, precompetitive and competitive
  • The method allows the indices of two or more tests to be traced in dynamic

Equipment

  • Mobile Body scan - the medical team of Prevent in collaboration with the trainers’ team applies the test/tests during the time of training. This way, we get most accurate information about the condition of the persons examined with no change in the training plan

Summary

  • In no way, the data given by the medical team of Prevent, and the interpretation of this data, do not oblige the trainers’ team to change its style of work. Our task is to provide most detailed information about the condition of the sportsman and to give our own assessment. All the rest is the trainer and his team’s decision
